2024 is a big election year, and there are several changes to the process north of the state line.
Michigan will be one of the first states to hold a Primary Election this year, moving from March 12 to February 27 in a move opposed by Republicans but signed into law by Governor Whitmer last February.
Bridge Michigan reports the state’s elections will also be the first test of a new election process that was approved by voters two years ago to expand voting access, including a required minimum of nine days of early voting before election day, a statewide ballot tracking system for absentee votes, and prepaid postage for absentee ballots.
