American Heart Association offers tips during time of increased heart attacks

Research shows that more people die from heart attacks during the last week of December than at any other time of the year.
With an increase in stress, a disruption in most normal schedules, and different eating and sleeping patterns, there are several factors that could be contributing to the risk for a deadly cardiac event. So, the American Heart Association is offering tips to stay healthy now, and all year long.
They say to know the signs of heart attacks and to take action as soon as possible. Celebrate healthfully by enjoying meals and drinks in moderation and watch your salt intake.
They say to make time to take care of yourself and keep moving, and be sure to stick to your necessary medications.
