South Bend Bike Garage faces challenges after having trailer stolen

A nonprofit organization is grappling with challenges after its trailer was stolen, posing a potential setback to its community-focused initiatives.

The South Bend Bike Garage reported the theft of their trailer, which occurred sometime before Monday night.

Although the trailer was discovered in an alley in South Bend, upon retrieval by the South Bend Bike Garage, it was found empty and damaged.

The South Bend Bike Garage, a nonprofit dedicated to repairing and collecting bikes for community distribution, has played a significant role in flipping 1,500 bikes over the past four years.

The unexpected damage to their trailer poses an unforeseen obstacle in their mission to assist the community.
