Woman sentenced for 2022 shooting death in downtown South Bend

A woman was has been sentenced for a voluntary manslaughter charge stemming from a 2022 deadly shooting.

Kimarie Wright was sentenced to 10 years behind bars for the shooting death of 32-year-old Kaylynn Davidson on South Michigan Street.

Davidson is the mother of a five-year-old child who was accidentally shot and killed by a nine-year-old relative in May of last year.

According to ABC 57 News, Wright was formally charged of murder and voluntary manslaughter, but the murder charge was dismissed.
