Elkhart teen pleads guilty to murder charge

An Elkhart teen pleaded guilty to a murder charge in the case of an October 15 shooting.

15 year old Correon Meux also agreed to a penalty for use of a firearm, allowing a maximum sentence of 85 years.

Meux is accused of shooting 18 year old Logan Nussbaum while he was driving in the 1200 block of Burr Oak Place.

Upon being shot, Nussbaum crashed the car into two parked cars and into the tree line near Carriage House Apartments.

According to the Goshen News, Nussbaum was pronounced dead at the scene. Meux was waived to adult court. His sentencing is set for December 28 but may be moved up.
