A new statewide initiative, “Every Child Indiana,” aims to boost foster family recruitment across Indiana by leveraging digital technology and marketing strategies.
The initiative addresses the escalating demand for foster families, as over 11,000 children require services in the state.
The primary objective of Every Child Indiana is to consistently maintain a surplus of licensed foster families statewide. The Villages of Indiana, a local nonprofit and a partnering organization in this initiative, emphasizes the pressing need for foster families in the Fort Wayne area.
Desiree Skinner, Regional Licensing Supervisor at The Villages of Indiana, underscores the importance of finding families willing to accommodate sibling groups in Fort Wayne.
The organization is committed to avoiding further separation of families.
Skinner also notes the need for families capable of fostering children across various age groups.
