Multiple Trine University buildings evacuated due to bomb threat

Two campus buildings at Trine University in Fort Wayne were evacuated Wednesday morning, due to a bomb threat.
A university official confirmed that the specific targets were Fawick Hall and the Jim and Joan Bock Center for Innovation and Biomedical Engineering.
Local first responders investigated the scene and declared that there was no imminent danger. Despite this, the university opted to withhold the all-clear announcement until an Indiana State Police K-9 conducted a thorough sweep of the buildings.
Trine officials emphasized this additional measure as part of their commitment to ensuring the safety of both students and the community.
