An Elkhart man got a talking-to from the judge during his sentencing for attempted breaking-and-entering.
Brandon Carpenter, 35, was sentenced in Cass County Court after he pled guilty to attempted breaking and entering a building with intent to commit larceny and attempted breaking and entering a coin box.
Leader Publications reports he was sentenced to credit for one day in jail and more than $2-thousand dollars in fines and costs.
It was back in 2020 when he tried to break into a coin box at an Edwardsburg car wash and then, a few days later, tried, but failed, to break into a building.
The judge advised Carpenter to reconsider burglary, since he’s not good at it.
