Three arrested in connection with armed robbery, vehicle arson

Three people are behind bars after an armed robbery and vehicle arson took place in South Bend.

Officers were called to a home on College Avenue for a carjacking late Friday night, during which the victim said he had met up with a woman to complete an online sale.

He said two men, one of whom was carrying a semiautomatic rifle, drove away in his car.

They then allegedly drove to suspect Ashley Wiggins house to pick up a gas can before filling the can with gas and driving to another victims home where they lit the victim’s vehicle on fire.

ABC 57 News reports that Terrion Atterberry, Breanna Willis and Wiggins were each charged with armed robbery, auto theft and resisting arrest, and Atterberry and Wiggins were charged with arson.

Wiggins also faces charges for neglect of a dependent after reportedly leaving her young children alone during the incidents.
