Silver Beach park leaders are asking for public input on a new beachside playground.
The new playground would replace the current playground that was built in the 1990’s. The new designs focus on fun, safety, and inclusivity, for those with disabilities.
Residents are encouraged to take an online survey that features renderings of possible playground designs. The project’s estimated cost is $1.2 million dollars, with $850,000 secured through a SPARK Grant from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
Berrien County is actively fundraising for the remaining $400,000 through a fund managed by the Berrien Community Foundation.
The survey is available here: https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/sv/jyZHbR9/SilverBeachPlayground
