A burglary suspect, Jack Byrer, entered a plea agreement on Thursday during circuit court.
Byrer has been hoping to come to an agreement quickly, but Judge Michael Christofeno said he could not accept the terms in his plea agreement filed last week.
Byrer was arrested in February for a 2022 burglary at a New Paris storage unit, and he filed a motion for speedy trial due to currently being incarcerated at Westville Correctional Facility.
According to the Goshen News, he allegedly acknowledged renting the truck and taking the items because he was high.
They say his sentencing is scheduled for November 2.

Thank the Almighty and County Voters that we have a judge that rejects stupid plea deals. Prosecutors should bring the evidence and prosecute to keep very bad people locked up. Yes I read that he is already in Westville.
