Two men in a reported stolen car led Indiana State Police on a high speed pursuit that ended with a crash.

The chase happened on Wednesday afternoon, Sep. 20, on I-94 in Porter County.

Troopers spotted the vehicle and tried to stop the car as the driver got off the interstate onto State Road 49 in Chesterton.

The driver made a U-turn and got back onto I-94 and drove westbound at a high rate of speed.

As the pursuit approached the Burns Harbor exit, the suspect driver failed to negotiate the curve, went off the road and crashed on the grass.

35-year-old Julius Statham of Chicago and 28-year-old Ka’darrius Roach of Miami Florida took off into some woods, but were eventually arrested. Both men were preliminarily charged with resisting.
