Police investigate shooting in Elkhart

A man was shot in Elkhart.
The gunfire happened just after 1 a.m. on Monday, Sep. 18, in the 1200 block of Hudson Street.
Elkhart City 911 Communications received call reporting shots fired. Elkhart Police Department officers and Elkhart Fire Department medics dispatched and arrived shortly thereafter.
Upon arrival, first responders rendered aid to the 31-year-old man who suffered from apparent gunshot wounds.
He was taken to the hospital for evaluation and treatment of his  non-life-threatening injuries.
