The St. Joseph County Department of Health will be hosting a series of community listening sessions.

They’re hoping to gather input on the State’s public health infrastructure funding, Health First Indiana, formerly referred to as Senate Bill 4.

It was passed into law on July 1 and is a state-wide investment in local departments of health to support core services and to make sure Hoosiers have access to public health services.

The community sessions are hoped to bring in feedback about how increased funding could enhance the overall health and wellbeing in the county.

The sessions are set for September 14 at the New Carlisle Library from 6 until 7 and on September 23 at Holiday Inn Mishawaka from 10 until 11 a.m.
