Today, July 21, is the First Day of the Elkhart County 4H Fair, and there are deals galore.

At the fair, they call it the $5 First Friday. Shelly Steury, General Manager of the Fair Grounds and 2024 Fair President, says that the first deal you can score is at the entrance, with $5 admission all day. 

And, don’t forget about appeasing your appetite. Steury says, “we have certain vendors on the grounds  that will have some sort of food for five dollars.”

Food vendors getting in on the deals include The Bunny Hut, Dr. Vegetable, The Pretzel Wagon, and more.

A fun loving Pig will also be making an appearance at 11 a.m., “we start off on Friday with Peppa Pig,” Steury adds, “We don’t traditionally have a Friday morning show, so that will be at the grandstands.”

There will also be free big wheel rides from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.. The fair is open from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m..
