A 17-year-old boy has been charged with murder in a double homicide at Laurel Woods Apartments.

Rease Pence is being charged as an adult and also faces a firearm enhancement. He’s accused of killing Jamie Binns, 28, and Samantha Lawson, 29, of Niles back in June.

The victims were found dead, from gunshot wounds in a car in the complex parking lot.

Investigators reviewed surveillance video taken of the killings, and reviewed the victims’ phones.

According to court documents, Pence’s iCloud revealed he had shut off his location services before the killings. It also revealed an internet search related to whether latex gloves leave fingerprints.

The document also stated that police talked to witnesses who say Pence was present during the shooting. One of them said Pence admitted to the killings.
