A couple from South Bend is trying to bring a statue of abolitionist and underground railroad conductor Harriet Tubman to South Bend.

The Herald Bulletin reports that the couple, Bob and Pat Kill, found the statue in St. George, Utah, and they bought a small model of the statue.

They brought it back to South Bend.

After showing the small model to people who were impressed with it, they are now trying to bring a “full-size” version of the statue to South Bend.

There is an online appeal to get it to South Bend.
