Niles teen struck by pick-up truck on U.S. 12 in Cass County

A 17-year-old boy from Niles on a non-motorized scooter was stuck by a pick-up truck on U.S. 12 in Cass County.

The collision happened around 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 8 near the off-ramp of M-60 in Milton Township.

The driver of the pick-up, identified as a Niles man, stopped and called 911.

The teen who was struck was transported to Niles Lakeland Hospital for treatment of injuries. He was last reported to be in stable condition at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

The case still remains under investigation.
