Authorities seeking vehicle of interest in deadly hit and run in Syracuse

A 70-year-old Syracuse man was found dead at the 6400 block of East 800 North.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department was called to the scene around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sep. 11, on a report of a man lying partially in the roadway.

Ronald Lee Strieby was pronounced dead at the scene. He had been riding a bicycle.

Authorities are looking to speak to the owner of a vehicle of interest seen in the area at the time of the incident.

Witnesses at the scene identified a light colored late model full size truck, and a second motor vehicle in the area of the crash.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department would request anyone with information to contact Investigators at 574-267-5667 with any information.
