Two shootings within hours of each other at Beacon Heights Apartments in South Bend

South Bend Police are investigating two shootings that took place at Beacon Heights Apartments on Friday, April 13.

The first shooting happened around 1:40 p.m. in the area of the 3500 block of Putnam Place. Officers found a male victim with what appeared to be a non life-threatening wound to the shoulder. He was transported to the hospital.

The second shooting happened around 11:10 p.m. on Curtis Drive. South Bend Police were called to the complex where they located a man with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

There is no word of any suspects or arrests in either shooting. There is no word whether the two shootings are related.
