Mayor Dave Wood will speak at the newly renovated Battell Center at 7 p.m. Monday, according to the city.

An open-house reception and tours will take place at 6 p.m. and will be led by Mayor Wood’s Youth Advisory Council.

This year’s theme will be “Standing Up for Mishawaka,” and Wood is expected to highlight Mishawaka park improvements, key City initiatives, and will make a new housing announcement during the speech. He will also honor the “2016 Livesaving Award” recipients during his speech.

The community is welcome to attend. His State of the City address will be available for public viewing beginning on Tuesday on the city website.
