Notre Dame police urging caution following robberies, assault

Caution is being urged by Notre Dame Security Police following recent crimes near campus.

The campus sent out an email to faculty, staff and students, alerting them that there had been two armed robberies and an assault in the neighborhood just south of the University of Notre Dame campus, according to WSBT.

All three incidents took place between 11:30 p.m. and 7:50 a.m. over the course of last week. One of those incidents involved a Notre Dame student that was robbed at around 2:20 a.m. No specific details about the crimes were made available.

The incidents are being investigated by the South Bend Police Department, according to campus police.
