Another attendance record expected at Four Winds Field

The hits…and fans just keep on coming for the South Bend Cubs.

Team officials are expecting a new attendance record to be set by this Labor Day weekend at Four Winds Field. If it happens, it’s the third straight year that a new all-time attendance record has been sent at the downtown ballpark.

“We’re just 11,453 tickets away from breaking the record,” said Joe Hart, President of the South Bend Cubs. “Right now, we’re averaging 5,100 ticket sales per game. So, if the weather holds out, we’ll surpass the 347,678 set in the 2015 regular season, by the end of the evening on Monday (Labor Day).”

The final regular-season homestand for the Cubs is this weekend, with games Saturday, September 3rd to Labor Day on Monday against the Dayton Dragons.
