Traffic stopped along westbound toll road for hours while crews investigate crash

Traffic came to a standstill on the westbound Indiana Toll Road in western St. Joseph County on Sunday, July 10.

Police and medics were called to the area just east of mile marker 67 after the driver of a U-Haul sideswiped a semi that was pulled over on the side of the road, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

Traffic was backed-up for about three hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

The U-Haul driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, ABC 57 reported.

The circumstances that led to the collision are being investigated.
