YWCA of North Central Indiana is gearing up for Give Local St. Joseph County Day

(Photo supplied)

On Wednesday morning, April 15, Amanda Ceravolo from the YWCA stopped by with former Indiana Gov. Joe Kernan to talk about the services that the Y provides and why they could use donations on May 5 for Give Local St. Joseph County Day.

Ceravolo brought along Angie, a domestic violence survivor, who said that the YWCA saved her and her children’s lives. The former governor said he joined the YWCA’s board of directors because he feels that there is nothing more important for us as a community than to take care of our women and children.

Listen to the full segment below for more information. Donations can be made at the YWCA’s website. Anyone with questions can contact Amanda Ceravolo at 574-233-9491. The YWCA’s 24-hour crisis hotline is 1-866-YES YWCA.
