Hi and thanks for listening!
Growing up in suburban Chicago, I always wanted to either be Harry Carey or Lou Brock, but I couldn’t hit a curve ball….what I could do was use my mouth, and so a career in broadcasting was born. After stops in Orlando, Florida, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Saginaw, Michigan and Abilene, Texas, we finally made it back “home” to South Bend.
I have been with this company, for 11 years (on and off) and most recently was the host of The Froggy Morning Show, on Froggy 102.7, WLEG in Elkhart, another station owned by this company. I am really excited to take over the helm of Michiana’s Morning News, and even though it is my first crack at a “non music” morning show, according to my daughters Kennedy and Madison, my last show was a lot like a talk show, even though I was supposed to be playing music.
I also am still able to get my disc jockey fix every day, because in addition to hosting Michiana’s Morning News, I am also the afternoon guy, on WHPY, Hippie Radio 94.5 in Nashville, Tennessee, an oldies music station. Plus it gives me a chance to wear my groovy leisure suits every day…..I just get strange looks when I wear them around here.
So please join me every weekday from 5a-9a on Michiana’s Morning News. I will give you all of the days news, and information, with traffic and weather every 10 minutes, we will talk to our chief meteorologist Paul Poteet every hour at the :50’s, and maybe even make you smile on the way to work…..it’s like your morning news paper, on your radio.
I’ll talk to you in the morning……
