A 23-year-old Elkhart man accused of stabbing his co-worker to death during a break Wednesday has been arraigned in court.

William Lee Henderson had his head in his hands as he cried on video from Cass County Jail, according to ABC 57’s Sara Rivest.

Henderson is facing life in prison on a felony murder charge. He was already on probation on drug charges, and the prosecutor requested that his bond be denied.

Henderson is accused of stabbing 24-year-old Jan Carlos Velazques Mendez of Elkhart to death. When officers arrived, Mendez was found bleeding from his neck.

A judge denied Henderson’s bond, despite asking for forgiveness from the victim’s family.
