Woman killed in car vs semi crash on I-94 in Berrien County

One person was killed in a crash on I-94 in southwest Michigan.

The collision happened around 6 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7 near There was a crash on I-94 near the Napier Avenue exit.

The crash involved a car and a semi, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

Traffic on the eastbound side of the highway had to be shut down while police and emergency crews were on scene, ABC 57 reported.

The person killed was identified as Kareema Mansoor, 54, of Iraq, according to Benton Charter Township Police.

Mansoor was a passenger in the vehicle, whose drive lost control and collided into the median cable barrier, then, was struck by the semi. The driver of the car and another passenger were taken to Lakeland Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, Benton Charter Township Police stated.
