Benton Harbor man found lying in snow was shot to death

The investigation into the suspicious death after the body of a man was found in the snow this past weekend has transitioned to a homicide investigation, according to authorities.

Officers with the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety were called to the 800 block of Superior on Sunday morning, Dec. 11, where they found the body of Joshua Hutchinson, 28, of Benton Harbor, according to Michael Clark, Deputy Director with the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety.

Hutchinson died due to multiple gunshot wounds.

This incident is being investigated by Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety.  They are also being assisted by the Michigan State Police Major Case Unit, Berrien County Homicide Task Force, and FBI Violent Crimes Task Force.

There is currently a $1,000.00 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible.
