Police in Elkhart are investigating two robberies over the weekend.

The first happened Friday night, just before 9 p.m., at the Marathon station on East Bristol St. Officers say a man approached the clerk, pulled a gun and demanded money. He left with cash and cigarettes. There is not much of a description of the suspect, other than he was wearing a dark hoodie and mask.

The second robbery happened Saturday morning at the 7-Eleven on Nappanee St. near Indiana Ave. Police say the suspect first tried to grab cash out of the register, then pulled a gun and demanded money. The suspect was wearing a grey-colored hoodie, a red stocking cap and left in a silver car.

If you have any information or think you saw something related to the robberies contact the Elkhart Police Department.
