Granger is home one of the top elementary schools in the country.

Northpoint Elementary School is among just eight schools in Indiana named a 2016 National Blue Ribbon School.

This makes the second time in six years that Northpointe has been recognized. Their first award was in 2010.

“Today’s award is an affirmation for Northpoint and P-H-M School Corporation that our formula for success works,” Penn Harris Madison School Corporation Superintendent Dr. Jerry Thacker stated in a press release. “The students are the focus of our Triangle. Their success is possible because they are encouraged and taught by excellent teachers and supported by their parents and families.”

There have been nine National Blue Ribbon awards given out to Penn-Harris-Madison schools. Penn High School has won it three times (1994, 1995, and 2001), Discovery Middle School twice (2006 and 2013), and Prairie Vista has won it twice (1996 and 2015).

Northpoint is ranked #27 among 70-thousand schools nationwide in the 2016 list of “50 Best American Public Elementary Schools”.
