An Elkhart man is behind bars, 10 months after he allegedly broke into a man’s home and robbed him.
Elkhart Police arrested Anthony Hickman, 40, and have charged him with burglary with forcible entry and burglary with a deadly weapon, according to our reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.
Three suspects broke into an Elkhart home on Dec. 7, 2015. When they did, the victim fell down and two suspects made sure he stayed down. Then, a third suspect revealed a shotgun and demanded money. A wallet was stolen. Finally, the three bolted from the area.
Afterwards, the victim gave police a description of the suspects. Later, detectives were able to match Hickman to evidence at the scene, Elkhart Police Sgt. Chris Snyder told the Elkhart Truth.
Hickman is in the Elkhart County Correctional Facility on $150,000 bond. He’ll have a court appearance on Monday.
