A dog was killed after a house in South Bend caught fire early Thursday morning.

Nobody was inside the home when the fire was reported at a home in the 100 block of East Irvington Avenue just after 3 a.m., according to our news partners ABC 57.

No other injuries were reported. It’s not clear how much damage the fire caused.

The fire remains under investigation.
