Man shot at Eddy Street Townhomes in South Bend

A man was shot in South Bend around 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28.

South Bend Police were called to the Eddy Street Townhomes in the 400 block of North Frances Street, but when they arrived, they discovered that the victim was at the Subway restaurant on Eddy Street. He was taken to the hospital, according to The South Bend Tribune.

Police say the victim may have been involved in a car crash at the complex. but at this time, police are not sure how the collision factors into the shooting, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

As many as three people were seen running from the complex after the shooting took place.

The condition of the victim is not known.
