The highly anticipated first episode of Serial’s second season launched Thursday morning, Dec. 10.
The episode, entitled DUSTWUN, was published at 6 a.m. on the official Serial website. It’s available to stream on that site, as well as iTunes, Pandora and other podcast-streaming apps.
Season two reports on the case of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who deserted the U.S. Army and was captured by the Taliban before he was rescued in May 2014and brought back to the U.S. Host Sarah Koenig will present new episodes on Thursdays.
Serial became an international sensation in its first season, which focused on the 1999 murder of Hae Min Lee in Baltimore, Md. Lee’s ex-boyfriend, Adnan Syed, is serving a life sentence for the murder but maintains that he is innocent. Koenig reviewed the evidence and court case in detail for listeners.
